  • Echo

There’s something about the look in your eyes
Something I noticed when the light was just right
It reminded me twice that I was alive
And it reminded me that you’re so worth the fight
My biggest fear will be the rescue of me
Strange how it turns out that way
    Could you show me dear
    Something I’ve not seen
    Something infinitely interesting
    Could you show me dear
    Something I’ve not seen
    Something infinitely interesting
There’s something about the way you move
I see your mouth in slow motion when you sing
More subtle than something someone contrives
Your movements echo that I have seen the real thing
Your biggest fear will be the rescue of you
Strange how it turns out that way
    Could you show me dear
    Something I’ve not seen
    Something infinitely interesting
    Could you show me dear
    Something I’ve not seen
    Something infinitely interesting

  • “We sell this for 230, but for you we make 200″

    “Aneyo, Aneyo”

    “What do you mean no?”

    “Beesayo, gaga jooseyo”

    “How much?”

    “Ehhhh….150″

    “Ok…for you 150″

Only in Korea can you bargain your way through things to make them cheaper. This effects pedal that i bought down at Seoul yesterday has an American price of $420….230 was a very good price, but i wanted to see if it would actually work *smile*. Aneyo means No in Korean. Beesayo is “it is too expensive”, and Gaga Jooseyo means “Please, give me a discount”. I love this country.

  • Simple Man by Lynard Skynard….such a beautiful song.

Mama told me when I was young:
‘Come sit beside me, my only son,
and listen closely to what I say
and if you do this it will help you some sunny day.’

‘Oh, take your time, don’t live too fast.
Troubles will come and they will pass.
Go find a woman and you’ll find love
and don’t forget, son, there is someone up above.’

‘And be a simple kind of man,
oh, be something you love and understand.
Baby, be a simple kind of man.
Oh, won’t you do this for me, son, if you can.’

‘Forget your lust for the rich man’s gold,
all that you need is in your soul.
And you can do this if you try.
All that I want for you, my son, is to be satisfied.’

‘And be a simple kind of man,
oh, be something you love and understand.
Baby, be a simple kind of man.
Oh, won’t you do this for me, son, if you can.’

‘Boy, don’t you worry, you’ll find yourself.
Follow your heart and nothing else.
And you can do this, oh baby, if you try.
All that I want for you, my son, is to be satisfied.’

‘And be a simple kind of man,
oh, be something you love and understand.
Baby, be a simple kind of man.
Oh, won’t you do this for me, son, if you can.’

  • “The Deep End”

And don’t tell me, i’m afraid of waking up alone
But it’s waking up to find you’ve gone
    But you make it clear,
    I had my chances
Only one way left to go,
    So i’ll follow it down

    She goes straight,
    straight for the deep end
Doesn’t hesitate to dive right in
    Be careful now,
    Be careful now

So shes traded my love for comfort,
    Gives it all away
So much for that happy ending
    Now you make it clear,
    You’ve got your options
Only one way left to go,
    So i’ll follow it down

    She can’t hold her own!
    Who would have known!

    She is misery’s company!
She got no place to go!
    No place to call home!
    She got misery’s company!

    She goes straight,
    straight for the deep end
Doesn’t hesitate to dive right in
    Be careful now,
    Be careful now,
    Be careful!
    Be careful now

She only come to me in my dreams,
    So sleep becomes routine,
Its not healthy, its what make you right
Its not healthy, its what make you

She only come to me in my dreams,
    So sleep becomes addicting,
Its not healthy, its what make you right
Its not healthy, its what make you

Hold her strings to haunt my dreams,
Its not healthy, its what make you right
Its not healthy, its what make you

    She goes straight,
    straight for the deep end
Doesn’t hesitate to dive right in
    She goes straight,
    straight for the deep end
Doesn’t hesitate to dive right in
    Be careful now,
    Be careful now,
    Be careful!

  • So here i am…laying on my bed thinking of something to post…when i run out of Doritoes. So im thinking to myself…’this sucks…alot’ b/c im kind of hungry, but too lazy to walk to the PX to grab some food. Oh woe is me. Oh well…ill get over it. I suppose its better than beeing chased by dragons and pink unicorns..alothough i have no idea how that fits into my story. Oh yes….my story. I went to dinner with a 43 year old fa….gentleman…..today *smile* and had a very in depth conversation about his beliefs on the ‘christian faith’. He went through alot of hurt in the past and i immedietly recognized that the chrisitans he had encountered throughout his life were very disappointing models. So we sat for about 3 hours talking non-stop about Faithfulness. Long story short….i feel that heis very close to breaking that plain of despair that was his understanding of the One we so happily calll our Father. Yes…i said plain of despair….moreso over a lack of words, but hey it sounds neat =) So i am meeting again with him tommorow in his room and discussing more. You know, i dont really even care that he might not come to the Lord while he knows me, but i will stay fiathful to Gods will in knowing that i have planted a rather significant seed in his life….and thats all i want….to get him from a -2 to a +2 in his “faith scale” as i call it. Then someone else in his life can bring him up from that 2, all the way to a 6, then from six, to 10. I just know that God will be with him, and i thank Him for that. Well kiddoes, it is time to bid….eh…whats that fancy word? Cant spell it so ill spell how it sounds to me….”adoo” haha…i really just did that…so dumb. Be at peace, and remember, He is always faithful.

  • Eros (ἔρως érōs) is passionate love, with sensual desire and longing. The Modern Greek word “erotas” means “(romantic) love”. Plato refined his own definition. Although eros is initially felt for a person, with contemplation it becomes an appreciation of the beauty within that person, or even becomes appreciation of beauty itself. Plato does not talk of physical attraction as a necessary part of love, hence the use of the word platonic to mean, “without physical attraction”. Plato also said Eros helps the soul recall knowledge of beauty, and contributes to an understanding of spiritual truth. Lovers and philosophers are all inspired to tell the truth by eros. The most famous ancient work on the subject of eros is Plato‘s Symposium, which is a discussion among the teachers and students of Socrates on the nature of eros.

Eros can also be defined as the longing for wholeness or completeness, and is used to describe fulfillment between man/woman and man/Gods. Thomas Jay Oord defines eros as intentional response to promote overall well-being by enhancing or appreciating what is valuable or good.

  • Wow……This song i am about to post made me cry in spirit….its called Good Friday by Josh Garrels…from is Over Oceans album…yes…its not underquiet we have its his newest one. #9 is songbird by the way.

    Good Friday

1Broken wing, forgotten dream, shattered thing
That a man’s hands can’t ever truly mend
Shadow land, desert sand, a man searches
For a love that’ll never die
Truth be known, you’re not alone
Your aching bones will find a home
In a place where God He sets us free
Wake me up before you go
I will listen for the sound of your voice
Hear the wind in the trees
    It goes where it please
    Like the breath in me
And all who have breath can sing

2When we laid your body down
In earth and in the ground
    Oh child, rest your soul
Will a hope be made good
    When a word is understood?
In the day will we see you again?

    4Gather ’round, hear the sound
Of a story that’s so old that it’s been told
    Before time
He was born in the flesh and the blood
In a world that was dark as hell and dead in sin
Born of the spirit and the virgin child
He’s the son of God, son of man
I didn’t recognize that look in his eyes
    When they cried
With a sorrow that no man has ever known
Hang him high, watch him die, hear the cry
    Crucified upon that God-forsaken tree
And all who have breath can sing

3When we laid your body down
In the earth and in the ground
    Oh Lord, rest your bones
Will a hope be made good
    If Your words are understood?
In the day will we see You again?

    5Oh Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?
Oh my God, my God, why have You forsaken me?
    Oh Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?
Oh my God, my God, why have You forsaken me?

  • Wow…so uh….im finally home. Although it is a little bittersweet, seeing as how im only here for 15 days, i plan on making the most of it. For those of you who dont know, i am home on leave for 15 days, then i ship out to Korea. Exciting huh? Yeah, well, 15 days is not quite exactly my description of *leave*, seeing as how 14 of those 15 will be spent working for my recruiter. The biggest advice i could give anyone who is thinking about the military as a lifestyle is research. Research what it is you actually want to do. Dont be afraid to ask questions or tell people what you want instead of them telling you that this is what you will do. Well my friends, time to go. More updates at a later time.
