  • “We sell this for 230, but for you we make 200″

    “Aneyo, Aneyo”

    “What do you mean no?”

    “Beesayo, gaga jooseyo”

    “How much?”

    “Ehhhh….150″

    “Ok…for you 150″

Only in Korea can you bargain your way through things to make them cheaper. This effects pedal that i bought down at Seoul yesterday has an American price of $420….230 was a very good price, but i wanted to see if it would actually work *smile*. Aneyo means No in Korean. Beesayo is “it is too expensive”, and Gaga Jooseyo means “Please, give me a discount”. I love this country.

  • *sly smile*  And what did you buy?  I’ve been excitedly awaiting to hear what you would bring back from your trek into Seoul.

  • haha, thats awesome.  yeah, dad loves to barter whenever he’s deployed or when he can go to Mexico.  lol.  I kinda tried to barter in Honduras last year, but I just ended up asking the translator if it was a good price and if it wasn’t, he would try to lower it for us cause I don’t speak very good Spanish.  :)
well, I guess I’ll talk to you later!
